The upcoming holiday season makes many people wary and a bit nervous as staying healthy; eating healthy and sleeping at the scheduled time becomes a challenge. Parties, late night gathering, desserts made of certain unhealthy ingredients are inevitable during the holiday season, and here are a few tips we have gathered for you to help you in staying steady on your path of health and wellness.
- It is important to listen to the cues your body gives you, sleep when you feel dizzy and tired, stop eating when you fell full, do not go to the extremes of any kind, don’t over indulge and over consume. It is alright to vary your daily schedule a little bit and make some adjustments, but overindulgence can make you sick and you wouldn’t want to stay sick during the holidays.
- This is the time to make stronger connections with your family, loved ones and friends; we know how the feeling of being loved and support changes someone’s perspective about life. It is important to let go of the grudges and forgive, be supportive to those around you and ask for support if you need it.
- Now you have the time to do a detoxifying regimen, try some relaxing treatments at a spa, try new healthy foods, learn how to cook, you must know how to take care of yourself. It is important to love yourself,your body and listen to what it says. Drink plenty of water, exercise regularly, chew food and don’t eat meals later in the day, eat whole foods.
- Meditate and recharge, improve flexibility with yoga and blood circulation and immune system with aerobic exercises. There are many indoor exercises you can do, eat foods like whole grains, legumes, nuts, seeds, and protein-rich foods to generate heat in the body.
